AlpacaEASE and HerdEASE share the same format and functionality.
AlpacaEASE is limited to alpacas and llamas.
HerdEASE has a species setup module to enter any other animal species
(horses, goats, sheep, etc.)
in addition to alpacas and llamas.

What do I need to run AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE? A. A PC or MAC, with a minimum of 128 MB ram is recommended. AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE
has been tested on the following platforms: Windows 98, ME, XP, Win2000, Vista, and MAC OsX

Do I need to purchase any additional software? A. No additional software is needed to run AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE. AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE
is shipped with all the files you need.

Can I try before I buy? A. A fully functioning "trial" version of AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE
is available free of charge to any breeder. The trial version will run
for 30 calendar days. When you purchase AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE, you will
be sent a registration code. Enter the registration code and that's
it! There's no new program to load and all your data remains intact.
The PC or MAC trial version can be downloaded here, if you have a
high-speed internet connection (such as DSL or cable.) Or you can request
that a CD be mailed to you.

How much does AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE cost? A. AlpacaEASE currently sells for $185.00 (US) and HerdEASE sells
for $225.00 (US). That includes one year of free upgrades and support.

How do I register my copy of AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE? A. You can purchase AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE by check or credit card.

to 661-339-0970 using the form from the website or your
trial CD. Once we receive payment, your registration key will be emailed
to you.

Can I integrate data from AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE with Excel or Word? A. AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE provides an Export feature that will allow
you to download your AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE data to various formats (including
Excel, Text, and Merge files.) You can create your own Word or Excel merge
files and/or macros using the exported data files and you can easily share animal data with your boarders or
when you sell an animal (if they also use AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE, there is an Import feature where they can
easily import the data into their program!).

What about upgrades and new releases? Will my data be easily converted? A. Most of the upgrade process will be automatic. Where additional
(manual) steps are needed, documentation will be provided to step you
through the process. All your existing data will be imported into the
new release.

Can I network AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE? A. No, AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE is not network-compatible. You can run
AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE from a "shared" drive on your network,
which will allow access from any computer that has read-write authorization
to that folder. However, AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE is single-user, so only one
PC can access the file at a time.

Can I also run AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE on my laptop when I travel? A. You can copy your AlpacaEASE folder to your laptop. We would be
happy to assist you, if needed.

Will I have good documentation? A. AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE includes an easy-to-read User Guide for getting
started and navigating the screens. In addition, Help text is available
for each screen. The Help files are in Acrobat Reader format and can be
printed for easy reference. AlpacaEASE was built with the Alpaca breeder
in mind. It maintains a consistent and intuitive look from module to module.
Buttons, pop-ups and tabs are consistently used and placed where you can
find them. You'll be entering your animals within minutes!

Is AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE guaranteed to be “error-free”? A. No software can be guaranteed to be bug-free, and AlpacaEASE/HerdEASE
makes no such claims! We test new releases as thoroughly as we can, but
minor glitches may still happen.
